A road rage incident Wednesday on the S. Lake Parkway culminated when a 24-year-old man fired a paintball gun at the driver's window of another car -- driven by an off-duty Milwaukee police officer.
The incident began at 4:30 p.m. in the 3100 block of S. Lake Parkway when one of the cars apparently slammed on the brakes, said Sgt. Ken Henning, a department spokesman. The suspect, driving a Saturn SL, fired a paintball gun at a Hyundai Elantra driven by the officer.
Milwaukee police arrested the man and his 25-year-old girlfriend in the 1800 block of E. Nock St. on suspicion of recklessly endangering safety.
